Void

2023

Partial fursuit worn at Anthrocon 2023. Void has a head and elbow-length handpaws. His head is going to be scrapped due to being low quality but his arms are to be refurbished and resold.

Void was inspired by the knowledge that pitch black is very hard to photograph. I thought it'd be amusing if a suit was hard to get pics of on purpose and as all around a nuisance to catch on tape, as if it were some sort of cryptid. If I could go back, I would give it a more purposeful and dynamic head shape to work with the fact that this suit exists based on its silhouette rather than markings and other general appearance bits.

Collage of images of this pitch black partial fursuit. The head doesn't look like any sort of animal, it may have some form of canine influence but is a very nonspecific vague fantasy creature. Even its eyes are solid matte black. Its muzzle is pointy and it has huge back-pointing ears. Its mouth is full of pointy teeth that are angled outwards. Collage of this fursuit's paws. They look like generic paws, with 5 round padded fingers and a big pawpad in the middle of the palm. Black fur with black fleece pads and a shiny spandex fabric for claws. These paws have hidden finger slips, and one photo shows my human fingers emerging from under the toe beans.

These paws are using an edited version of Kloofsuit's 5-finger handpaw pattern and have hidden finger slips, making them great for dexterity and handing things without taking the entire paw off.

Photo of the suit being worn. It's leaned back and waving at the camera, the angle of the head giving it an awkward dopey sort of expression.
